JOB TITLE:  Consumer Insights Manager
LOCATION:   Mississauga, ON
 
Job Purpose:

Provide Consumer Insight support on new and established business efforts by translating key business issues into measurable research objectives and learning. Act as an integrated member of the business team, representing the voice of the consumer.
 
Essential Skills:
· Degree level education. Masters degree strongly preferred.
· Minimum 4 years CPG marketing research experience (client or agency side)
· Working knowledge of custom quantitative and qualitative methodologies as well as syndicated and household panel data, including but not limited to:
· Advertising and strategy research
· Product testing (Central Location Tests, Home-Use Tests)
· Concept testing and volume estimation
· New product tracking
· White space identification and new product development
· Syndicated Analytics, including understanding of pricing analysis and market mix modelling
· Able to synthesize research and translate into insights and business strategies
· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong quantitative skills (analysis, interpretation and communication)
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on cross functional teams
· Ability to challenge and influence effectively
 
Accountabilities

· Create annual learning plans based on key business needs. Includes defining research objectives, developing a plan to address those objectives, executing the plan, identify insights and implications based on the learning and communicating the learning and recommendations to the cross functional team.
· Actively participate in the strategic development of business and marketing plans as well as brand advertising and new product development.
· Bring consumer insight to bear on all aspects of the business through direct collaboration with the brand team.
· Translate business unit strategic objectives and key issues into research plan. Close collaboration with business team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
· Execution and analysis of a broad range of research projects. Responsible for the integrity of results, well applied research designs, identifying insights and providing actionable business recommendations
· Co-ordinate the sharing of consumer insights across all areas of the company.
· Maintain and build relationships with internal and external suppliers.
· Support of various corporate and functional initiatives as directed by the Consumer Insights Director.
