What Else Do Companies Want To Know About You?

The importance of having a great resume has always been and will remain a critical component of your job search. Your resume tells prospective employers about your key skills, employment history, education, and accomplishments in sales. But there is other information companies are looking for to help them determine whether or not to proceed with your candidacy for their sales position. Specifically, our clients are telling us they want to know:

  • Why are you looking for a new role?
  • Why are you interested in our company? In this position?
  • What are your compensation expectations?
  • What is your willingness to travel?
  • Explanations for any gaps in your employment history.

Be prepared to answer these questions in your next job interview. You should also consider including a cover letter with your resume when you apply for a job - a cover letter is a great opportunity to provide this type of additional information not found in your resume.

Open and honest disclosure will save both you and the company a great deal of time in the search process. It also allows our team at SalesForce Search to gain a better understanding of your background, suitability for a role and your fit within the organization.
